The penthouse is located on the top two floors of a Fifth Avenue building facing Central Park along the Upper East Side of New York City.
The public spaces are located on the upper level of the apartment which includes the combined living and dining room, playroom and library within approximately 7,500 square feet. A continuous “green house type” skylight extends the length of the upper floor on the northern side offering an abundance of natural light and clear views of Central Park.
The living space opens to a terrace overlooking the park, creating a living pavilion and strong visual connections to Central Park. The relationship of the penthouse to the park is enhanced by its 15th floor mid-rise position. In addition to the interior improvements, the existing conditions required that the exterior envelope of the penthouse be completely restored.
The lower level of the apartment contains the private living quarters including the Master suite: bedroom, bath, dressing rooms and private study as well as the guest room, children’s bedrooms, bath, play area, sauna and exercise room.
